about me
I am originally from Bavaria, specifically from the picturesque Tegernsee. Skiing has been a central part of my life since I can remember. It all began on the hills behind our house, later I joined the ski club and eventually became a part of the Junior National Ski Team of the German Ski Association.
I had the honor of successfully participating in numerous international ski races in all disciplines. During this time, I attended the renowned sports school for ski athletes in Stams, Tyrol, which shaped me both athletically and personally. After finishing my active career as a competitive skier and completing my education, I began working as a ski instructor in Tux in 2006. Since then, I have been living and working in Mayrhofen in the Zillertal.
It was here that I discovered my passion for freeriding, which still excites me to this day. This fascination led me to explore deep snow descents off-piste and eventually participate in several freeride competitions. With great dedication, I started at various Freeride World Tour Qualifiers, where I gained valuable experiences that deepened my knowledge of terrain, snow, and technique. Since 2006, I have worked as a ski instructor in the Tux Valley. During this time, I had the opportunity to guide professionals from the freeride scene such as Julian Carr, Amie Engerbretson, Owen Leeper, Bernhard Braun, Todd Ligare, and Anne Wangler, showing them the best spots here in Zillertal.
In 2014, I completed the training to become a State Ski Instructor, in 2021 I successfully completed the qualification as a State Certified Ski Instructor, and in 2024, I obtained the qualification as a Ski Guide. With these qualifications and my years of experience, I am well-equipped to teach and guide skiers of all levels. My work as a ski instructor has shown me how rewarding it is to pass on my passion for the sport and witness my students’ development.
During my time as a freerider, I also developed a great interest in filming and documenting in the mountains, especially skiing. Since 2011, I have been working as a part-time filmer and editor. My journey began with the online TV station Tegernsee TV, and since then, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with clients such as Tegernseer Tal Tourismus, Tux-Finkenberg, Rossignol/Dynastar, Wilson, the Bergfilmfestival Tegernsee, and the Freeride Festival.
